Avinash Shirode, born in 1948, comes from a humble farming family of Umbarkhede, Maharashtra. A Civil Engineer from COEP Pune, Structural Engineer from IISc Bangalore, Aerospace Engineer associated with ISRO projects and Architectural Engineer for major industrial projects including World Bank assignments.
Developed engineering software packages for RCC and structural design, conducted research in wind energy, automotive systems and agricultural innovation. His work includes low-RPM wind generators, alternative energy experiments and agricultural productivity improvements.
Designated as a Space Ambassador by National Space Society (USA), becoming the first person from India and 8th worldwide. Later elected as Director on the NSS Board, representing India’s contribution to global space science and exploration.
Delivered lectures globally including the renowned philosophy “Theory of Karma – You Are the Author of Your Own Destiny”. A writer, poet, visionary thinker and spiritual motivator with wide influence across educational and social institutions.
Produced and acted in Marathi films and television serials under SHAMAVI ARTS. Completed the Kailas-Mansarovar Yatra on foot and authored numerous travel articles, interviews and social awareness publications.
Recipient of more than 46 national and international awards, multiple lifetime achievement recognitions, technical publications and memberships in leading engineering, educational and social organizations.
